Chelsea defender John Terry remains England's only major injury doubt ahead of Thursday's friendly international with South Africa in Durban.

Terry was again forced to sit out training this afternoon because of his thigh problem.

The set-back had forced the Blues player to miss the final fortnight of his club's successful bid to qualify for the Champions League.

But better news for England was that Leeds defender Danny Mills and Newcastle midfielder Jermaine Jenas were back involved with Sven-Goran Eriksson's squad.

They had both been given permission by Eriksson to sit out Monday's session before the flight to South Africa because of "personal reasons".

Clearly revelling in his first taste of senior England action for the first time in two-and-half years was Gareth Barry.

The Aston Villa midfielder had been drafted in as a late replacement for the injured duo of Kieron Dyer and Danny Murphy.
