Accused British mercenary Simon Mann told a court today that Mark Thatcher, son of former British prime minister Margaret Thatcher, was part of the "management team" of a 2004 coup plot in Equatorial Guinea.
Testifying at his trial in the capital Malabo, Mr Mann also said the governments of Spain and South Africa had given a "green light" for the failed plot to topple President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.
Equatorial Guinea's public prosecutor Jose Olo Obono said the next step for the West African state's authorities would be to seek the extradition of Mark Thatcher and others implicated in the 2004 conspiracy.
