If you have been following the RTE television series with which this book is associated, you may already have absorbed what is perhaps its most telling statistic: that while almost one-third of parents think that their children are at risk of being bullied at school, less than four per cent actually intervene when it happens. Murray and Keane don't restrict themselves to the school playground, however - there are chapters here on sexual bullying, bullying in the workplace and bullying in old age, all of which, apparently, have been identified as major problems in our brave new Celtic Tiger world. A useful looking and wide-ranging list of sources of information and help is included as an appendix.
