Mary Catherine Philomena Layden, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Roscommon, lost IR£11,447 and Stg£102,847 after shares held for safekeeping by Pearson were sold without her knowledge.

Most of the proceeds were lodged to Pearson's "Bear Bull" account through which he settled his own personal trading losses. Ms Layden suffers from Alzheimer's.

The estate of Hannah Agnes Keane, Kilcoran Road, Youghal, Co Cork, lost Stg£466,584 and IR£452,107 after shares were sold without their consent and the proceeds lodged in accounts linked to Pearson.

Geraldine Murphy and her son Norman Murphy, Douglas Rd, Cork, lost IR£492,486 after their shares were sold by Pearson without their consent. The money was their primary income, the estate of the late Patrick J Murphy.

Aideen Crowley Dynan, Rochford Hall, Waterfall, Cork, suffered losses of IR£150,000 after this sum was taken from her by Pearson for investment in bonds but lodged to the account of an investment club of which he was a member.

Michael McGrath, a ward of court, lost IR£300,000 which he had received as compensation after a serious traffic accident. Pearson lodged a small amount to accounts controlled by him and used the remaining IR£266,000 to settle his debts.

Veronica Guy, Glencairn, Kilbritta, Co Cork, lost IR£213,152 to Pearson's Bear Bull account.

Alison Walsh, Windy Heights, Tivoli, Cork, lost IR£144,545 after Pearson sold her shares without her permission using the proceeds to settle his trading losses.

Gertrude Crowley, Brookfield Park, The Lough, Cork, lost IR£127,335, the proceeds of her husband's estate. The money was used to disguise shortfalls in other clients accounts.

Thomas Murphy, Clash, Carrigrohane, Co Cork, lost IR£52,728 after Pearson did not buy the shares he was instructed to buy. The money was lodged to a fictitious spare client account and used to settle debts.

Norah Keane, Emmet Place, Youghal, Co Cork, lost Stg£486,322 after her shares were sold without her consent and proceeds used by Pearson to settle his trading debts.

Richard Noel Gleeson, The Highlands, Glounthaune, Cork, lost IR£602,913 when it was used by Pearson to cover his trading losses.

Bernard Roe, St Patrick's Road, Cork, lost IR£90,000, which was to be used to purchase shares in British Airways but went directly to settle Pearson's trading debts.

Mary Christina Leader, Douglas Road Cork, lost IR£101,519, which was used by Pearson to settle his debts.

William Paschal Stewart, Fairhill, Cork, lost IR£90,000 after shares he instructed Pearson to buy were never purchased and other monies were deposited by Pearson to accounts to which he was linked.
