TO celebrate its 10th birthday, the Second Age Theatre Company has chosen Hamlet to offer to the students at whom its work is primarily aimed, and to the appreciative adults who invariably swell their ranks. The programme contains an acknowledgement-list of the actors who have worked with the company over the decade, and it is impressive. One reason for this is clearly that the company does not condescend to its audiences, and sets standards professionals feel comfortable with. Their new production is directed by Joyce Branagh, right, (yes, sister of Kenneth), who works mainly in London, and has an impressive set design by Chisato Yoshimi. The cast is a force of talents old and new, and the outcome a worthwhile experience.
