Three men faced manslaughter charges at Newbridge Court yesterday following the deaths of two men in a construction site accident last year.
Mr Sean Tracey and Mr Robert Dunne were buried alive when a trench they were digging at the Ballymany Manor housing estate collapsed on them on July 20th last year.
Mr Denis McIntire (53), of Roseberry, Newbridge, Mr Peter Drennan (38), a sub-contractor, from Robertstown, and Mr Sam Hillis (40), from Mylerstown, were all charged. All three were released on bail by Judge Thomas Ballagh to appear again at Newbridge District Court on October 21st.
