Three people lost their lives in seperate overnight road collisions.
Shortly before 8.55 pm last night, a male front-seat passenger of a car died after the vehicle he was travelling in was in collision with a four-wheel drive vehicle at Limekilnhill, Navan.
The deceased, who was aged in his forties, was removed to Our Lady's Hospital in Navan.
Both drivers stayed in hospital overnight where their collision was described as "comfortable".
In Co Tipperary, a pedestrian died after he was hit by a car at Racket Hall, Roscrea at 10.35 pm. The body of the deceased, who was aged in his forties, was removed to Nenagh General Hospital.
The scene has been preserved for technical examination, and the south bound lane of the N7 will be closed until later this morning.

Gardaí at Stepaside, Co Dublin, are investigating a single vehicle collision which occurred at Burton Hall Road, Sandyford Industrial Estate, Dublin at 04.05 this morning.
Gardaí said the deceased, a 21 year male motorcyclist, was fatally injured when his motorcycle lost control and crashed. The man was removed to St. Vincent's Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
