London - The father of a Briton killed in a car bomb in Saudi Arabia called for the death penalty yesterday if three men arrested over his son's death are convicted.
The three, from Britain, Belgium and Canada, face beheading after apparently confessing on Saudi Arabian television to carrying out two car bombings in the capital Riyadh last year.
A Briton, identified as Mr Alexander Mitchell, said he and Canadian, Mr William Sampson (42), were responsible for the first blast, which killed engineer Christopher Rodway (47) and injured his wife Jane (50) on November 17th last year.
Mr Mitchell said he was also involved with Mr Sampson and the Belgian, Mr Raf Skivens, in the second bombing on November 22nd which injured two Britons and slightly injured an Irish woman working for the Boeing-owned Al-Salam aircraft company in Riyadh.
