A second person has died following a crash on the Duncastle Road in Co Derry yesterday.
The two-vehicle collision occurred close to Cullion Orange Hall shortly before 5.45pm.
One woman died yesterday evening after being taken to hospital, while a man in his 30s has since died as a result of his injuries.
A second woman is being treated for injuries that are not thought to be life threatening.
In Co Sligo yesterday, a woman (48) was killed by a car as she walked along a road.
She was knocked down at around 5pm at Corballa, near the coastal village of Enniscrone. Gardaí from Easkey Garda station are investigating.
Some 277 people have been killed on the country's roads this year, including 65 pedestrians. Last year 308 people were killed in the same period.
