Three men and a 16-year-old juvenile appeared at a special court in Craigavon yesterday on charges connected with the Drumcree standoff.

Mr William John McClatchey (24), Abercorn Park, Portadown, was charged with possessing blast bombs, possessing an offensive weapon and riotous behaviour. He replied "No" to each charge and was remanded in custody to a court at the Maze prison on July 29th.

Mr Robert James Dickson (38), Isle of Shinney Walk, Ballynahinch, was charged with damaging a floodlight and generator and also with obstructing police. On the first charge he said "I didn't damage it" and "No" to the second charge. He was remanded in custody to Craigavon Magistrate's court tomorrow.

Mr Thomas McCreery (52), Hartmore Gardens, Portadown, was charged with assaulting and obstructing a policeman and disorderly behaviour. He replied "No" to each charge.

He was remanded on bail to Craigavon Magistrate's court tomorrow. All three incidents were alleged to have taken place yesterday. The juvenile was charged with riotous behaviour.
