Three people have been detained after the fatal shooting of a man in Dublin last night.
A garda spokesman said the 45-year-old man was shot three times on the Old Blessington Road in Tallaght village at around 7 p.m.
A car was reported leaving the scene shortly afterwards.
Two men and a woman were later arrested and are being held at Tallaght Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.

A post mortem examination on the victim is due to be carried out later today at Tallaght Hospital.
