Tickets for U2's Slane concert sell out in 45 minutes

Thousands of U2 fans were left disappointed this morning when tickets for the band's Slane concert completely sold out in just 45 minutes.

There were queues outside some Ticketmaster offices from early Thursday.

Having altered their site to make buying tickets for Slane easier, a notice on www.ticketmaster.iethis morning advised fans that all tickets were sold.

The concert on August 25th will be the band's first performance in Ireland since their 'Pop-Mart' tour four years ago.

The tickets, which were priced at £36.50 plus £3 booking fee and were limited to six per person, went on sale at 7 a.m.
