Shooting at the TV was a novel idea back when Duck Shoot on the Nintendo was doing its rounds: it's not so novel now, but nonetheless we have Time Crisis, another attempt to emulate the arcade shooters.
There are four modes - Arcade, Story, Time Attack and Special. Arcade is self-explanatory; Story contains three stages consisting of four areas; in Time Attack the clock is your enemy so taking hits is of little consequence; and in Special what you do, how and how quickly you do it will dictate the route you take through the game. Movement within the game is very limited and you are more or less confined to dodging bullets rather than exploring your surroundings - this is a limitation of all such games. However, Time Crisis is probably the best around in this line.
