9amCounting starts in 43 constituencies to fill 165 seats in the 31st Dáil. A Millward Brown Lansdowne exit poll for RTÉ predicts Fine Gael will get a 36.1 per cent share of the vote. It puts Labour on 20.5 per cent, Fianna Fáil on just 15.1 per cent, Sinn Féin on 10.1 per cent, the Greens on 2.7 per cent and independents and others on 15.5 per cent.
10amPaul Gogarty of the Green Party concedes – via Twitter. Political scientist Dr Michael Marsh from TCD predicts FG will win 72 seats, Labour 38, Independents 20, FF 20, Sinn Féin 15, Greens 1.
