Apart from Dublin-born uileann piper, Peter Browne (right), you'll probably get a strong Kerry twang off this informal trad ensemble, gathered for Music Network's latest "Best of Irish" tour, with no doubt a few polkas and slides tossed in between the jigs and reels. Browne himself has a long career of recording and broadcasting, from his Bothy Band days to more recent session recordings with everyone from Mary Black and the RTE Concert Orchestra to the rough-hewn Cuil Aodha choirboyos.

Charlie Piggott, meanwhile, mans the steam engine of his accordion, a former founder-member of De Danann (with whom he played bouzouki and banjo) and co-author with Fintan Vallely of Blooming Meadows, an affectionate series of pen-portraits of traditional musicians.

Fiddler and tune composer, Gerry Harrington, originally from Kenmare, is a nice, sawing, old-style fiddler who picked up music from the likes of Connie O'Connell from Kilnamartyra. Topping the lot is the warbling sean nos singing of Seosaimhin Ni Bheaglaoich - sister of the half-demented Begley box-players, Seamus and Breandan from the far end of the Dingle peninsula, and a singer of some prominence in her own right.

Between the four of them, the chemistry should be interesting, and should make for a good-humoured evening.
