Traffic diversions will be in place in Dublin city centre between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. today as D'Olier Street will be closed for the official opening of the Manchester United Store.
The opening of the store, located on the O'Connell Street end of D'Olier Street, is a ticket only event, and all tickets have been issued.
While there will be pedestrian access through D'Olier Street, event stewards and gardai will ensure people do not congregate in the area.
People with no tickets are advised not to turn up, said event organiser Mr Louis Harte.
Southbound traffic on O'Connell Street will be diverted through Lower Abbey Street, Beresford Place, Memorial Road, Talbot Memorial Bridge, Moss Street and on to Pearse Street.
Traffic on Bachelor's Walk that usually turns right on to D'Olier Street will proceed to Eden Quay, joining the rest of the diverted southbound traffic at Beresford Place.
Vehicles travelling on Burgh Quay, George's Quay and City Quay, who want to turn left on to D'Olier Street, will be diverted at the Talbot Memorial Bridge, through Moss Street and on to Pearse Street.
East-west traffic on the quays will operate as normal. Fleet Street will remain open.
Among those expected to attend the opening will be Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, Chief Executive, Mr Peter Kenyon, two or three as yet undisclosed players from the current squad, as well as a number of former star players, including Sir Bobby Charlton.
