The trial of a 41-year-old man who is charged with sexually assaulting four children from one family while he was renting a holiday home in Connemara during the 1990s has been adjourned for hearing before a new jury panel later this year.
The man, who may not be named for legal reasons, appeared for trial before Galway Circuit Criminal Court this week, where he denied 17 sample charges of sexual assault, involving three sisters and their brother, at a Connemara location on various dates between 1997 and 2000.
The trial, which began on Tuesday, was adjourned yesterday following lengthy legal argument, and will commence before a new jury later this year.
