Mick Kinnane, the jockey who rode Galileo into European racing history at Ascot last month, has succeeded in having the Turf Club reverse procedures it adopted with regard to the two-day ban it imposed on him on July 27th.
Mr Justice McCracken had temporarily lifted the ban in the High Court the day before Mr Kinnane was due to ride Galileo at Ascot.
Mr Ercus Stewart SC, for Mr Kinnane, told the High Court that the Turf Club had agreed to a permanent injunction restraining it from implementing the penalty. He said that the club would pay Mr Kinnane's legal costs.
The suspension was imposed by stewards at Leopardstown for alleged careless riding on July 18th.
