Members of the Turkish and Indian communities became the latest victims of racial violence in Northern Ireland today.
Police were trying to hunt down those responsible for damaging cars and daubing racist slogans on their victims' homes in Comber, Co Down.
In the first incident, at around 3.30 a.m., a brick was thrown through the rear window of a Renault Megane car parked outside a house in Charles Way and offensive graffiti was daubed on the front.
In the other incident, a brick was thrown through the window of a Ford Escort car, and graffiti was also painted on a house in Lower Crescent.
Police in Newtownards said today they believed the same people carried out both attacks.
They appealed for information from anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in both areas before the incidents.
