London - A British court showdown could be looming after a TV regulator yesterday decided to issue a "legally-binding" order to force ITV to move its nightly 11 p.m. bulletin to an earlier time.
ITV had been asked to shift the slot to revive flagging viewer numbers since the axing of News At Ten more than a year ago. But commission executives meeting decided ITV proposals were not good enough and within days they are to draw up a document requiring the move. ITV said it did not plan to respond immediately to the decision, but it is thought it could challenge such an order in the courts.
