Two people were charged last night with the murder of a retired RUC officer in Co Antrim at the weekend. A third person was released after questioning. The two will appear at Ballymena Magistrates' Court this morning. Mr William Kennedy (65) was found dead by his daughter at his bungalow at Brookfield Gardens, Ahoghill, near Ballymena, on Sunday morning. A former sergeant, he had retired from the RUC 15 years ago on health grounds. He had only moved into the property four months ago and lived alone.
