At least two soldiers were killed today when a British military helicopter with seven people on board crashed in Kosovo near the border with Macedonia.
A KFOR spokesman said that at least two soldiers had been killed when a Puma helicopter with seven British soldiers on board went down at 3.45 p.m. (2.45 p.m. Irish time), five kilometers west of the town of Kacanik in the southern part of the province.
There was no immediate indication of the cause of the crash, nor of the condition of the rest of those on board.
According to a British defense department spokesman in London, three crew and four passengers were on board.

Mr Fergus Smith, spokesman of the British KFOR command in Pristina, called the flight "a routine mission".
