A man and a woman are being questioned by gardaí in Roscrea today after the seizure of 5,000 ecstasy tablets yesterday.
Gardaí searched a car travelling on the main Limerick road at Roscrea, Co Tipperary, yesterday afternoon and arrested the pair, who are both in their 40s.
In addition to the drugs, a large quantity of cash was seized.
It is estimated the drugs may have a potential street value of up to €50,000.

The pair are being held at Roscrea Garda Station under the provisions of Section Two of the Drug Trafficking Act, 1996.
