Two policemen were injured in northern Spain early today when Basque youths attacked their car with home-made firebombs, police said.
The regional policemen had driven into the town of Portugalete, in the northern Basque country, where they were surrounded by a group of hooded youths and bombarded with explosives.
The police were received with stones and Molotov cocktails, some made with acid, a police spokesman told state radio, adding that their car was completely burned out.
