Two men were brought to hospital in Northern Ireland last night after they were injured in separate shootings in which both suffered gunshots to their legs.
A 24-year-old man was injured when a number of men entered an apartment in the Rossnareen area in west Belfast at about 9pm and shot him twice, once in each leg.
The men are all thought to have been wearing black bomber jackets, jeans and balaclavas.
The CID are appealing for information on the shooting incident.
Earlier a 23-year-old man suffered gun shot wounds to both legs when he was targeted in a house in the Iniscarn Crescent area of Derry at about 8pm.
Police are seeking five men who were wearing dark coloured hoods and scarves covering their faces. The men left the house on foot. Detectives are working on a motive for the attack and are seeking people who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the Iniscarn Crescent, Blighs Lane or Kildrum area of the city at the time of the attack.
Both men were brought to hospital where both their conditions are described as not life threatening.
