Two people were killed and about 20 people injured in an explosion at the largest bazaar in Uzbekistan's capital Tashkent today.
"The terrorist act struck Chorsu bazaar in the Old City," a police official said.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Mr Ilham Zakirov said the explosion was one of several attempts to conduct terrorist acts.
"We have detained the culprits. They are currently being interrogated. Right now it is only clear that this is a pre-planned action and there is someone behind it.".
