At least two people were killed when a building collapsed in Milan on Monday apparently as a result of an explosion, Ansa news agency reported.
At least 50 people were injured in the explosion and two were believed dead beneath the rubble, Ansa said. The cause of the blast was not known, but it was believed to be a gas leak, the agency said.
A Reuters witness saw eight injured people lying on the ground near the building in central Milan, Italy's financial capital. Three of the building's four stories had collapsed.
