Two people were killed in a house fire in Co Kildare early this morning.
Gardaí are investigating the cause of the blaze, which started at the house in McMurrough Hill on the Curragh Camp, shortly before 3.00am.
Three units from Naas, Newbridge and the Curragh Army Camp fire brigades brought the fire under control.
In a subsequent search, the bodies of a man and a woman, both in their 20s, were found in an upstairs bedroom.

The couple, who had been out celebrating the New Year, are the parents of two young children.
The children were not in the house at the time of the fire. They were spending the night in their grandparents' house.
It is believed the fire started in the kitchen.
