Two killed in separate road collisions

Two people have died in separate road accidents in Kildare and Westmeath.

Two people have died in separate road accidents in Kildare and Westmeath.

A 27-year-old man died early this morning when the car he was driving went out of control and collided with roadworks on the N7 at Kill. A male passenger was seriously injured and was taken to Naas Hospital for treatment.

The dead man was a foreign national. His name has not yet been released.

A four-year-old boy died at Ballinabrackey, Kinnegad yesterday afternoon following a collision with a car.

The boy's body was removed to Mullingar General Hospital following the collision which occurred at around 2.30pm. His name has not yet been released.
