Gardaí have arrested two men and a woman in connection with the death of a man in Co Clare last December.
Two men, aged 19 and 21, and a woman (24) are being questioned about the death of Sean Pollard at Blackwater, Ardnacrusha, on December 31st.
Mr Pollard (39) was shot dead as he opened the door of his home at around 11.30 p.m. to a gang of people who then entered the house, tied up his partner and made off a sum of money. The partner managed to escape and raised the alarm just after midnight.
All three, who are from Limerick, were arrested at their homes this morning at about 7 a.m.
The three are being held under Section 30 Offences Against The State Act and can be held for up to 72 hours. Two are being detained at Mayorstone and the third at Henry Street.
