Two men arrested over Meath death

Gardai have arrested two men in relation to the fatal stabbing of a man in Co Meath early on St Stephen's Day last year.

Gardai have arrested two men in relation to the fatal stabbing of a man in Co Meath early on St Stephen's Day last year.

The men, both in their early 20s, were arrested this morning in Lusk, Co Dublin and in Ashbourne, Co Meath, in connection with the death of Barry Maguire (23) from Deerpark, Ashbourne on December 26th last.

They are being held at Drogheda and Balbriggan Garda stations, a Garda statement said.

Mr Maguire was stabbed at about 4.15am on St Stephen's Day in the Milltown Estate, Ashbourne, after a night out with friends.
