Two men are being questioned by Laois gardaí in connection with a drugs seizure in Mountrath last night.
The men, one in his twenties and the other in his forties, were arrested following the search of a car from which a quantity of amphetamines with an estimated value of €75,000 was seized.
They are being held at Portlaoise Garda station under section two of the Crimincal Justice Drug Trafficking Act.
The arrests are part of an ongoing operation involving the Garda National Drugs Unit and gardaí in Portlaoise and Limerick.
