Two people were being questioned by gardai in Kilmainham last night after the seizure of £250,000 worth of heroin in west Dublin.
A man in his early 30s and a woman, aged 20, were arrested after the drugs were found in a car stopped on the Nangor Road, Clondalkin at 6.30 p.m.
The two were being questioned under section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act, which allows them to be held for up to seven days.
The operation involved gardai from the Kilmainham drug unit and detective unit.
