Two men were being hunted in Co Derry today after a man was stabbed repeatedly by callers to a house.
The victim suffered a series of stab wounds to his chest and hands when he was attacked in Limavady late last night.
Police said the man was at the home of a friend in Rosseden Park when he opened his front door to callers at around 11.30.
Immediately the door was open the callers pushed their way into the hall and stabbed the householder before running off.
The victim is being treated in hospital for serious stab wounds which are not thought to be life threatening.
Both attackers are reported to be around 5'8" tall, one thin with short dark hair and the other of medium to stocky build and with cropped mousy brown hair.
Police were seeking to discover a motive for the attack and appealed for anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area to contact them.
