Detectives investigating the murder of a pub doorman in Derry 18 months ago today carried out searches at a car showroom in Co Tyrone.
It is understood the search of the premises at Urney Road in Clady outside Strabane, was for the source of a car believed to have been used by the killers of Brian McGlynn in June 2007.
Police confirmed later that there had been no arrests, but that documents seized had been taken away for examination.
Mr McGlynn was asleep in bed with his girlfriend in the house they shared in the Fountain Hill area of Derry when gunmen burst into the room and shot him several times.
The 28-year-old was originally from Strabane but had moved to Derry where he had been working as a doorman at a pub and a nightclub.
Police suspect the murder was linked to his work as a doorman.
A fortnight ago three people were arrested for questioning about the murder.
Two men, aged 46 and 30, were later released unconditionally, while a 23-year-old woman was released pending further inquiries.
