Ireland were beaten for the second time in successive days as they lost by eight wickets to Pakistan at the Under-19s World Cup today.
The Irish, who were narrowly beaten by West Indies yesterday, were bowled out for 142 at Khulna, with only Andrew Riddles (35no) offering genuine resistance.
Pakistan needed just 25.2 overs to reach their target, Adnan Zaheer (64no) and captain Khalid Latif (50) leading them home.
Elsewhere, Yorkshire-born pace pair Tim Bresnan and David Stiff both took four wickets for seven runs as England crushed Uganda by 213 runs in the Under-19s World Cup.
Yorkshire all-rounder Bresnan and Kent's new recruit Stiff ran through the card as the Africans were shot out for just 46 in Chittagong. England scored 259 for seven in their 50 overs, Luke Wright (70) and Samit Patel (55) both hitting half-centuries.
