U2 FANS will be able to hear samples from the band's long awaited new album, No Line on the Horizonon The Irish Timeswebsite from this morning.
The site at www.irishtimes.com/u2 will be steaming 60 second samples of each track on the album – the only Irish website authorised to do so.
No Line on the Horizonis due to be officially released in Ireland on Friday next, with HMV stores opening specially from midnight on Thursday. A special interview with members of U2, by Irish Timeswriter Brian Boyd will be published in The Ticket, available with the newspaper on Friday.
The album will be released in Europe on March 2nd and a day later in the US. The album was leaked last week via unofficial web sources including Pirate Bay the Swedish website which is currently facing prosecution for “assisting making available coyright material”. The leaks occurred despite every effort by U2s record label, Universal, to keep the music under wraps.
