Award-winning British comedy actor Chris Langham has appeared in court for the first time to face charges of indecent assault.

The star of the hit BBC political satire The Thick Of Itis charged with nine alleged sex offences - eight counts of indecent assault and a serious sexual offence.
He appeared before Maidstone Crown Court for a preliminary hearing. The actor spoke only to confirm his name, and acknowledge the bail conditions.
He was released on conditional bail and is due to appear before the same court on November 22nd for a plea and case management hearing.
On that date he will also enter pleas in relation to the 15 counts of making indecent images of children.
The bail conditions include no unsupervised access to any person under the age of 16.
