Medicines supplier United Drug said full-year profit rose 6.1 per cent on increased sales through acquisitions and expansion in the Irish drug market.
Net income for the year ending Septemnber 30th was €50.2 million ($62.8 million), or 21.6 cents a share, from €47.3 million, or 20.81 cents, a year earlier.
Revenue increased 6.5 per cent to €1.7 billion.
The group said it remains positive about the fundamentals of its core markets and its position within those markets, despite the ongoing challenge presented by government regulation and budgetary pressures impacting on parts of the business.
