US Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage arrived in Afghanistan early this morning for a brief visit.
The envoy, who travelled from Pakistan, will spend only a few hours in Afghanistan meeting President Hamid Karzai and top officials before flying onto the Indian capital New Delhi.
