The value of Irish exports dropped by 2 per cent in April compared with the previous month, according to the Central Statistics Office released today.
Compared to March the seasonally adjusted value of exports fell to €7.52 billion with a fall in the value of medical and pharmaceutical products (down 9 per cent) dragging down export values.
The adjusted value of imports was €4.5 billion, bringing the trade surplus for April to €2.95 billion.
The value of overall exports for the first three months of the year has increased 6 per cent to €22.7 billion compared with the same period the previous year.
