Manchester United chief executive Peter Kenyon has revealed that the club would not consider selling striker Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Billionaire Roman Abramovich's arrival at Chelsea has led to plenty of big-money transfer speculation but Kenyon insists van Nistelrooy will not be leaving Old Trafford at any price.
Kenyon told BBC Radio: "Clearly Ruud is not for sale at any value. He is an essential part of the squad and I think he is one of the players who is not for sale.
"We have got to look at it in terms of where our squad is. What drives our is success on the field and you could not replace Ruud. There is not another one around and he is not for sale.
"Ruud is an exception and we hope he will continue to play for Manchester United for many years to come."
