London - Britain's junior minister for European affairs, Mr Keith Vaz, was yesterday taken to hospital after passing out in his office, the Foreign Office said. A spokesman said: "Keith Vaz passed out. An ambulance was called. He was advised to go for a check-up and has done so."
Mr Vaz has been under intense pressure in recent weeks since the report by the House of Commons Standards and Privileges Committee into alleged breaches of Commons rules.
