Former England manager Terry Venables will be interviewed today for the job of Greek national coach.
Venables has been shortlisted for the post along with former Inter Milan coach Marco Tardelli, former Spain manager Javier Clemente, veteran German Otto Rehhagel and Italian Nevio Scala.
Venables, who took England to the semi-finals of Euro96, ended his links with English premier league club Middlesbrough at the end of last season after helping them avoid relegation.
The 58-year-old resumed his career as a television pundit and it is not clear whether he would try to continue with his TV duties alongside the Greece job or concentrate full time on the new post.
When he took over as coach to Australia in 1996 it was on a part-time basis but that relationship ended when they failed to qualify for the 1998 World Cup.
Greece are in the same qualifying group as England for the 2002 World Cup but their chances of making it to the finals just about disappeared with the 2-0 home defeat by England in June, a loss that led to the departure of coach Vassilis Daniil.
