Aston Villa
Darius Vassell has failed to recover from the hamstring injury which ruled him out of England's friendly with Portugal in time for Aston Villa's home match with Charlton .
There is also a question mark over whether the 23-year-old will be fit for the derby with Birmingham City at St Andrews on Monday.
Veteran midfielder Ian Taylor is also still not available because of a calf injury, even though a scan revealed no serious damage.
Transfer-listed defender Ozalan Alpay is in contention after holding talks with Villa manager Graham Taylor, who is convinced he is in the right frame of mind to face the Addicks.

Birminham City
Senegal skipper Aliou Cisse is Birmingham City manager Steve Bruce's only injury worry ahead of tomorrow night's Premiership clash with Liverpool at Anfield.
The former Paris SG midfielder picked up a knock on the calf when in action for his country against Lesotho in the African Nations Cup qualifying campaign at the weekend.
Cisse did not arrive back in England until yesterday but Bruce is confident he will be recovered sufficiently to face the Reds.
Ivory Coast defender Olivier Tebily is still sidelined through injury and Jeff Kenna will continue in what is likely to be the same side as defeated Leeds United 11 days ago.

10/09/02: Damien Duff will miss tomorrow's visit of Chelsea to Blackburn after failing to recover from a thigh strain.
Blackburn's left winger, who has recently signed a new four-year deal, picked up the injury in the Republic of Ireland's 4-2 defeat by Russia on Saturday and will be out for two to three weeks.
Blackburn manager Graeme Souness said: "Since he signed his contract he has been on fire for us so it's disappointing."
Duff's injury may give a chance for Keith Gillespie to make an appearance on the right wing with David Dunn moving to the left.

Bolton
Defender Paul Warhurst has recovered from the head injury which forced him off in Bolton's last game, the victory over Aston Villa, to take his place in the squad to face Manchester United.
Warhurst needed stitches in the gash, but the week-and-a-half gap between the games means the 33-year-old will be part of what is expected to be an unchanged team at Old Trafford.
New signings Chris Armstrong and Ivan Campo are both working their way to full fitness after protracted transfer deals, while midfielders Stig Tofting and Jay-Jay Okocha are also back in training.

Defender Gary Rowett might play a part too.
Curbishley said: "He has come through a reserve game, but he has had a back problem and we just take it day by day."

Striker Michael Bridges has a chance of travelling to the north-east and could be on the bench as he looks to end his two-year injury nightmare as he has not made a senior first-team appearance in that time due to Achilles and knee problems.

Paul Scholes, controversially omitted from the England squad, faces a late test on his ankle injury, while stand-in captain David Beckham is also a slight doubt after suffering a bang on his calf against Boro which also ruled him out of international duty.

Kieron Dyer has recovered from his shin problem while Greek defender Nikos Dabizas has a slight calf problem but is expected to be fit.
The Magpies will make a late check on Lomana LuaLua after his return from Sunday's Democratic Republic of Congo international in Libya.
