Canadian Jacques Villeneuve will race the last three Grand Prixs of the season for Renault, the team confirmed today.
Villeneuve, the 1997 world champion with Williams, has not raced competitively for a year.
He will make his comeback in next week's Chinese Grand Prix, partnering team-mate Fernando Alonso.
The 33-year-old replaces Italian Jarno Trulli, who joined Toyota during the week.
