Northern Ireland Electricity company Viridian said today the construction programme of its new gas-fired plant at Huntstown near Dublin remains on target.
The plant has been successfully selling to the Northern Ireland grid during its commissioning runs, the company said. Final commissioning is scheduled for early December.
Meanwhile, Viridian said its businesses are performing in line with expectations.
The company said Nevada, its telecoms and Internet joint venture, continues to achieve growth in revenue against a difficult background. In July 2002 its partner, Energis, was acquired by a new company, Chelys, as part of a financial restructuring.
Viridian said it continues to work closely with Chelys and Nevada in order to position Nevada's business most appropriately for the future.
