William Monk Gibbon, the poet and author, is expected to have a road renamed in his honour in Glasthule, Co Dublin, after a vote among local residents. A list has been prepared of qualified electors on Link Road, Glasthule, for the purpose of voting to change its name to "Monk Gibbon Road".
Gibbon, who was best known for his poetry and autobiographical fiction, lived in Sandycove. He died in 1987.
