A bench warrant has been issued for a prisoner who failed to return to a clinic where he was completing an eight-year sentence. Sean Buckley (35), of Tyrconnell Road, Dublin, was sentenced in 1995 for a series of 30 armed robberies and other crimes committed between April 1993 and August 1994 while he was on bail.
In July Buckley was granted court permission to complete his sentence in Coolmine Therapeutic Community. Det Garda Michael Boyle said Buckley went to Coolmine in July. He later left for a few days but then returned. However, he left again on August 26th and had not returned since.
Yesterday Judge Pat McCartan, sitting in Dublin Circuit Criminal Court, issued a bench warrant for Buckley's arrest.
