Almost 300 jobs are to be created at a new customer service centre in Derry, it was confirmed this afternoon.
Waterford-based company Rigney Dolphin, whose clients include BMW, Carphone Warehouse and Airtricity, said they hope to use the new centre to help them expand in the the UK market.
“Northern Ireland and the UK hold great potential for us to grow. Establishing this customer service centre allows us to more closely service our Northern Ireland clients and is an important strategic development for us as we seek to expand our customer base," said the firm's chief executive Celine Fitzgerald.
“We are confident that the new operation will enhance our ability to deliver the highest level of customer care while retaining a sharp focus on growth,” she added.
Invest NI has given £1.2 million towards the company's investment which is expected to generate over £4 million annually through the creation of 297 jobs over the next three years.
Rigney Dolphin currently employ 1,200 people who deliver customer relations and back office supports like payroll.
NI enterprise minister Arlene Foster said today's announcement was good news as it comes at a challenging time for the North's economy.
